- MMikeVIPAsheville / Western North Carolina •8 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoOur party of four arrived just as The Blackbird opened at 5, as we had plans for the evening. Service was quick and good and we had a marvelous dinner in about an hour. We all loved our choices, from the veggie entree my daughter chose (and she was also happy about the wide range of gluten free options) to the pork chop and the Seafood Pirlau. There were oohs and ahs for the Smoked Gouda Sweet Potato Biscuit Pudding and the Goat Cheese Corn Pie. The top of the Pirlau was a classic mix of shrimp, mussels, sausage, and tiny crawfish, over a wonderful rice cake with a tomato-y both that made me think of Jambalaya that an old friend of mine from N'aleans used to simmer for a day before serving. Delish!More infoThe BlackbirdPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Asheville•4.5

- RRichardAsheville / Western North Carolina •1 review5.0Dined on 19 Dec 2024This was one of their Dicken’s Dinners. It was a fixed priced, four course dinner with a gentleman dressed in period clothes reading an abridged version of the Christmas Carol. It was an enchanting evening that put us in the Christmas spirit We have eaten here many times and it always warrants a five star rating in all categories, This evening’s experience was at least 5 stars as well.More infoNewman's RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• American• Hendersonville•5
- MMikeCoastal North Carolina •6 reviews5.0Dined on 18 Dec 2024Absolutely outstanding. Service was great. Food was prepared and presented beautifully. A great experience all around. I highly recommend. Cocktails were great. Wine list was on the smaller side but the staff understood the wines and made sure we had the proper selections to optimally enjoy our entrees. Desserts are out of this world. We had a medium size group and were the last patrons on a Tuesday night. Staff was kind and professional right up to the end. This place has no equal in Western North Carolina, truly a hidden gem in Hendersonville and well worth the trip.More infoClaywoodPrice: Expensive• Farm-to-table• Hendersonville•4.7
