Best Brunch Restaurants in Highland, IN

This is a very nice place to eat with a great atmosphere staff is always polite

We brought our two grandsons (ages 5 and 3) to the Walnut Room in Chicago on 1/3/2025, to experience the holiday decor. The "fairies" circulating around to each table were so engaging while chatting with our grandsons, and explaining how to "make a wish". Our server was very friendly and efficient, even under the pressure of a very busy day at the restaurant. The food was very good, and I was pleasantly surprised to see kids menu items available, which our grandsons thoroughly enjoyed. Two small glitches. . 1. Upon arrival, there were soiled napkins/food items on the floor next to one of the chairs at our table. I was disappointed at that mess. One of the "fairies" noticed this mess and got the staff to clean it up and 2. Our cocktails were served AFTER our food arrived. Despite these two small glitches, we had a wonderful time together, and on the way home, our 5 year old grandson told us he had the BEST DAY ever.

Still working through new location kinks, but there is good consistency in food and wine for this new Schererville outpost. We had an enjoyable time and our hospitality gem Zakai was a delight. Consider two recommendations: a) offer dressing-on-the-side option for salads. There’s simply too much on the salads currently (and not just the Schererville location); and b) for the wine tasting area, consider putting “stunt liquid” in the empty bottle displays on the wine shelves. Though understandably for “anti-theft”, it makes CH appear that they can’t trust their customers before we even sit down. (Almond white sangria is simply un-stealable anyway. blah.) Ultimately, the food, wine and service will make this location a success for years to come.

Our server was excellent! Great guacamole to accompany Bloody Marys followed by traditional eggs Benedict All served up professionally in a polished welcoming atmosphere. Pure fun, staffers were all so personable as were patrons

Fantastic!! Service, food, ambience was all wonderful!! Had the signature French toast and it was wonderful!!
