Wow what an amazing place with amazing food and amazing staff. They really know how to vet and train the staff here. I was throughly impressed. Our host taking us to our seats said something so thoughtful it nearly melted my heart. I commented on him having to work for Thanksgiving and he said yeah well they gave us food for Thanksgiving and it is so delicious so I’m pretty grateful for that and I was just like oh my god what a sweetie!

We prefer to sit on the deck where it is always more intimate, quieter, away from the busy intersections. The San Diego skyline is crisp in every direction. Heaters keep you from getting chilled in the cooler nights. Food and service never disappoint. Bali Hai has been our go-to spot since I was a child 60+ yrs ago for celebrations. Just recently we've been taking advantage of their holiday buffets; OMG, beautiful and delicious!

Incredible! We started with the sushi-grade Hot Oil Seated Salmon and the Whipped Buttermilk Ricotta with charred bread for dipping. We also had the Roasted Chinese Eggplant sitting on lemon yogurt and pine nuts that had the appearance of sushi and the taste of beautifully seasoned eggplant. We also had the juicy cheeseburger special which had perfect fries.

OUTstanding from start to finish! The decor and ambiance made me so darn happy. It was a golden, gaudy, Christmas explosion and I loved every second of it. Drinks were great and food was incredible. Our server Tommy (I think) was attentive and helpful. We got the Caesar salad, the house salad, the roasted chicken and the short rib. The Caesar salad and short rib were our favorites. We waited a long time to finally make it in but we’ll be back in the spring for a new round of decorations. It’s just so good.
