Best Brunch Restaurants in Pontypool

Having been to the Ivy Cardiff a number of times, Ivy Asia was a different eating experience with the same quality and ambience. A Wednesday lunchtime with a friend, we chose the lunch deal which was excellent value. The food was beautifully presented and very tasty with a touch of spice. Service was extremely good and pre lunch cocktails at the bar were expertly made. I did like that the beautiful washrooms were on ground floor level. Overall it was a very good lunch.

It is so beautiful the staff are amazing very knowledgeable if you ask about one of the dishes we had the garlic prawns for our starter it was amazing the sauce was to die for then the meat platter came and wow it was beautiful but before that they brought dips and a lovely lovely bread and a long plate with salad olives & cheese the toilets were very clean and several staff passing your table check with you if everything is ok and can they get you anything well worth a visit I will be going there again

First visit for us and we loved it. We had brunch and will be looking to book again for a lunch time. Thank you so much for a very pleasant first time experience 😊

We visited Friday evening with a friend who is ill and needs a wheelchair. The staff were magnificent, helping with access and really caring. The food was superb and it all added up to a fantastic evening out. Many thanks and well done all at The Gate.

We picked The Tickled Trout because we wanted someone quiet and unique for an anniversary and due to a vegan diet restriction, needed a place that could cater for all diets. We had a late table booked and Marcus was a fantastic host for the evening. Great choice of tapas dishes and we picked three meat and three vegan which was ample to be shared between two people. Would recommend the chickpea dish which had a nice spicy kick to it and was flavourful and the patatas bravas was not an overwhelming massive plate of blandness- it was a dish with flavour. Perfect celebration venue and fantastic service and food.
