Steuben’s is named after a restaurant in Boston that my Great Uncles, Max and Joe, opened in 1945. Steuben's became a famous Boston restaurant, nightclub, and hotspot from the 1940’s to the 1960’s on Boylston Street. Excellent experience as always! We return again and again to Root Down for great food and great service. On this visit, we were mired in traffic and I was petrified we would miss our reservation by a long shot. I texted the restaurant and they texted right back with assurances they would save us a seat. What a relief! Every staff member knows the menu and can make recommendations and they kindly checked for food allergies. What a great place to eat when you're in Denver! We try to get there at least once per year.

From the excellent wine list, including the by the glass selection, to the interesting specials, we have always have a wonderful meal at La Merise. Tonight the trout was perfectly prepared and the vegetables were tender but still slightly crisp. My husband’s steak was perfectly medium rare. We split the salad with pears and Gorgonzola and it was split for us in the kitchen without us asking. Service is attentive and friendly but unobtrusive. This is definitely one of our favorites in Denver.

Quite authentically French in a lot of ways. We love the seafood and stroganoff crepes! I'm sure the sweet crepes are awesome, as well, but we ae always to full to order dessert. Nice atmosphere! A popular place; glad they take reservations and are open on Mondays.
