- CChristopherBaltimore / Maryland •3 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThis is a great restaurant for a nice date or business lunch or dinner. The dimly lit atmosphere is romantic in the evening, they had a life jazz band playing intermittently which was not loud but provided nice background music. White table cloths and attentive professional waiters but not quite fine dining feel, which might actually be an advantage, since you can decide whether you want to wear jeans or dress slacks (athletic clothes would not be appropriate here, which I greatly appreciate). Our bill for two came out including a generous tip around $108 and my wife for one drink. For that we got a large house salad we split, two chicken pot pies, each with a good sized a la carte side of mashed potatoes. The salad was quite nice and came with seasoned pecans, goat cheese, and corn bread. My wife opted for the default dressing and I requested ranch. We both greatly enjoyed the chicken pot pies. They were served in cast iron, and the crust (which is greatly lacking in most restaurants around here) was fabulous, like a true hand made pie crust. The filling was quite good also and included their specialty rotisserie chicken, which had good flavor. We really enjoyed the pie filling. I felt it was a little light on filling given how much crust you get, so if I could suggest one thing it would be just a little more filling, but it was not a detriment in any way. We were so full we could not get to the mashed potatoes but they looked quite good. Overall this is a restaurant where you can have a nice, romantic experience for a reasonable price, not snobby or overly formal but formal enough. This is one of the truly best upper-middle class restaurants in Columbia. Not fine dining but not casual either. Really a perfect mix of the two. Highly recommend!More infoGlenwood's - Stanford Grill: ColumbiaPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Columbia•4.7

Start off with a mojito and croquetas. Be sure to order your plantains sweet or crunchy and enjoy the best black beans and rice north of Miami. If the menu is new to you just ask a friendly server for advice.More infoCuba de AyerPrice: Moderate• Latin / Spanish• Silver Spring•4.8

The strawberry cheesecake French toast was worth the hype. But honestly, everything was good. We all enjoyed our drinks too.More info1123 By Chef TobiasPrice: Very Expensive• Fusion / Eclectic• Hyattsville•4.6
