Standing high above the city on the 10th floor of the City Club Apartments, at 309 Vine Street; resurrected from the history that has stood here before our time, Shires' Rooftop is inspired by the first amusement resort in this part of the country, Shires' Garden. Though the original Shires' Gardens burned to the ground, "in a most picturesque fire," the legacy that was left behind is everlasting and an integral part of the Queen City's history. Our first visit to Shire’s did not disappoint! Beautiful restaurant with great views! Katrina took very good care of our party of six. Chef does an excellent job creating unique flavor profiles. Tried the fried green tomato, beef Wellington and mussels appetizers. All were perfectly prepared and delicious! Our entrees included the pork chop, salmon, shrimp & scallops, and chicken roulade. Again all dishes were delicious!! The only negative was the chicken was a little dry and could have used a sauce to help with that; but the pea risotto that accompanied it was very tasty. The pear mocktail was lovely too!! Perfect place for special occasion dinner!!!

We had amazing customer service from the waiter and the manager. There was a small issue with an entree and the staff went above what would be expected to resolve the concern. We will be back soon! Always a great experience.

Was there for lunch with work colleagues. Server was pleasant and efficient. Food was excellent and not a long wait for the four of us. It was a little noisy on the day we went (12-1pm) which could be expected at that time but it was a little hard to hear each other & we were at a normal sized table.
