With quality stonework and attractive sloping edges Lock 10 is one of 46 along the Royal Canal and continues to be a testament to the skill of the craftsmen involved. Our bar is adjacent to the Lock Keepers House, a post that became obsolete in 1961 when the canal was closed to traffic the previous year. Lovely food and cocktails as always, it’s the second time we booked a big table for an occasion but both times we were sat up by the band and the outside chairs were stools we swapped them for chairs with a backrest but I’d like to be seated better next time but I’m sure if I specified it they would meet our needs

This was our first restaurant on our trip to Dublin and we absolutely loved it! We were able to get one of the last reservations available for the next 2 weeks and had dinner at 9pm. We were greeted and sat immediately and service was wonderful. My partner and I both ordered an espresso martini and it was delicious. We then split the fish and chips for our main entree and it was incredible! For a side, we ordered the Brussel sprouts and roasted carrots and those were both phenomenal. 10/10 highly recommend!

We had a fantastic meal. Full of flavour and nuances. Delicately balanced and each course of the tasting menu was a delight. We were warmly welcomed, and looked after very attentively, even to the point of a staff member going outside in the chilly December weather to secure a taxi for us. Having a separate printed vegetarian menu was greatly appreciated, and enhanced the the experience. We will be back
