The Bronze Door has recently changed its menu (and, we think, their chef) and it's a great improvement. The $20 burgers are now $16, which is a better match to Grosse Pointe's well-to-do but stingy restaurant goers. Mains and sides have also been re-priced to fit our market. Our family members very much liked the chicken piccata, the scallops with risotto and the steak Diane. The truffle parmesan fries were a big hit for sharing. Unfortunately, my wife chose the white bean chicken chili for a light meal. The server described it as not spicy, which was a mistake, because it was so spicy that my wife could only eat a tiny portion. When I tasted it, I found the spice level moderate to strong and, more importantly, the flavor of chiles was so intense that it deserved a warning label for those who are not very fond of them. (The chili did have good taste, so my wife saved the rest of it and will try it again, but only after thinning it out with sour cream.) In general, the food and service are very good, so we will dine here again, but we will order more cautiously. The beverage menu could stand improvement. I would have liked to see a draft stout or porter, or a Belgian-style beer (Chimay, Duvel, False Dawn, Fin du Monde), but no luck. I searched in vain for a glass of fruity Italian red (Montepulciano or Sangiovese) or a Malbec. I settled on a glass of Saint-Hilaire Blanquette de Limoux, a delicious brut that is a favorite of my Brit friends, who enjoy its Champagne quality without the Champagne price tag. The restaurant is wise to offer it in addition to prosecco, a bubbly that for me is too bland. My tablemates seemed happy with the expresso martini, a Chardonnay and a Cabernet. We will return!

The food and drinks were outstanding. I had a wonderful seat by the fire that created a cozy atmosphere. There were plenty of other guests, but the nose level was minimal and it never felt cramped. Despite how busy it was, the food came out quickly and was well prepared and plated. My server, Heather, provided fantastic service. Will definitely be returning.

Harbour House A very pleasant atmosphere with a corner table and a view of the outdoors and marina. The service was timely and the food was beautifully plated and very tasty. Each of the five of us was very pleased with our choice. A couple of my friends asked to share an entree (Lobster Roll) and the waitress served each of them with their divided portion on each of their own plates. A perfect place to celebrate any special occasion or casual dining.

Our server, JB was so nice. She gave great recommendations; she was so down to earth and attentive. The food was outstanding and the portion sizes were generous. The atmosphere was relaxed, but they could probably use warmer lighting. The drinks were just okay for the price. I would visit again, especially for carry out.
