Best Casual Restaurants in KC Power & Light District

We love this restaurant. First it is beautiful but not trendy. Second the execution of the food is superb. We love the fact you can find traditional menu items still (today was Steak Dianne) and even though steak is featured there is always a variety of seafood, duck and lamb. Service was excellent also. They use first rate ingredients and sauces and salad dressings are house made and exceptional.

Fantastic experience!! Due to a change of plans, we arrived about an hour early for our reservation on Christmas Eve and they were kind enough to accommodate us right away. I also want to mention that we originally booked a standard table but the high top was even better for the views and ambiance. We sat right in front of the most beautiful mahogany bar and got to watch the bartenders climb up and down the super high ladder. The food was all exceptional but the baked pimento cheese tray was to die for. The fresh baked sourdough bread was also phenomenal. We had mostly seafood and everything was delicious.

We had the best Christmas Eve dinner at Lazia. The waygu carpaccio has sky rocketed into our top dishes in KC. Service was amazing and the lobster was impressive. High praise for the tiramisu. Job well done Lazia!

The food and drinks were very tasty, service was good and I appreciate all the vegetarian options that were available! It was just my partner and I and we got a nice little table near the window, which we both enjoyed! It was our first time and will definitely be back. I got the Yule cocktail and mushroom sammy, he got fish and chips and a sour. A little bit expensive (about $70 before tip in total), but worth it for the quality and experience.

Went for a team holiday lunch and it was terrific. We all agreed food, service and ambiance were perfect!
