The bloke on the left. Well he’s our father, our Babuji. His journey started back in 1959. Before arriving in the UK Babuji decided to travel through Bangladesh, India then Pakistan, teaching, learning and eating lots on the way. In particular the street stalls of Calcutta, Mumbai, and Lahore were his favourites. Our food is a homage to the street vendors and Cafés of South Asia. Combining dishes that Babuji encountered in his journey. From Bengali bites, to street stall favourites of Mumbai, and traditional homely Pakistani dishes. By the way, we eat with our hands, cos that’s the Babuji way.

A modern pub serving a frequently changing menu, available in our dining room, bar, and outside ledges. It's not fine dining, nor is it trying to be. We cook in a way that we as cooks like to eat, so don’t be afraid to share. If you want to pop in for a burger and a pint, feel free to grab any available space in the bar or outside. Westerns Laundry is a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant focusing on seafood & natural wines. The restaurant is located in the Islington/Highbury neighbourhood of North London. It opened in 2018 and is housed in a 1950's industrial building which used to be home to the largest commercial laundry in North London. It now boasts a beautiful 60 cover dining room, which opens onto an open 20 cover cobbled courtyard with olive trees as well as an intimate private dining room. Shonibare’s artist-conceived vision presented a new sunshine-yellow setting designed by Mahdavi, marking a new culture-defining chapter for sketch in its 20th year. Using applique and embroidery techniques on richly dyed fabrics, Shonibare illuminates the influence of African traditions on European conceptions of our modern-day world.
