Best Casual Restaurants in Rhinebeck

Had an amazing dinner with my husband and friend. We started with the coconut shrimp and clams casino. Generous sized shrimp with a delicious side sauce. Perfectly cooked and tasty clams with no skimping on the bacon were next. Two of us ordered the Scallops Marsala over Angel hair pasta which was cooked to perfection! Melt in your mouth scallops and Marsala sauce was amazing. My husband had the London Broil, again perfectly seasoned and cooked. The waitstaff is very attentive and personable. From the Bartender, our waitress Sam to the busser, everyone is very pleasant. We highly recommend!

Service was good, to the point, and attentive. Very casual. Food was yummy. Tortilla chips could have been served warm and lobster quesadilla was a bit greasy. Otherwise the tamale special was fantastic, and the short rib tacos delicious. My son loved his cheesy quesadilla and cucumbers. The value was excellent for the quality and service provided. A great restaurant for both families, and adults looking for a relaxed night out. Cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Great overall vibe.

We love Kips Tavern. The decor, bartender (we always dine at the bar), food (the chicken pot pie is the signature entree), the location in historic Rhinecliff. We will be back.
