Ferro has been established and family-operated since 1993. The Food: Serving up traditional southern Italian cuisine with a creative spin where we feel you will enjoy it! General Public is inspired by trying to imagine what an upscale English pub would be if it had the heart of an American brasserie (and was open 11 to 11). It’s also going to signal a little bit of steakhouse, but not too much. And finally, it will look behind itself at the Black Hoof, which you will see reflected in James Santon’s menu here and there. In terms of vibe, the main floor is ‘everything’s gone green’, with lush comfortable banquette seating, warm wood, and barstools designed for long conversations over many cocktails. Upstairs you’ll find a completely different space that transports you to a peachy 80s dream. Somehow these two halves make perfect sense, and complement each other in a seamless conversation, where neither wins the argument, but you really do have to see it! See you soon!

We love coming to this location the food is always consistently great tasting including the service:) We’ve tried the Liberty location a few times - it’s a larger & newer location but for some strange reason their food is not consistently tasty. For example, orecchiette was bland (they only offered us salt & nothing else to correct it🙄), salad not evenly & well dressed. Liberty has the nice modern ambience but the food taste is not consistent & some dishes are not as tasty as your other locations.

Winterlicious 2025. Semi-hidden restaurant on the second floor. Ambience is excellent - it’s modern but warm with comfortable touches like their couch seating that spans much of the northern perimeter. Regular menu is small and easy to choose from, wine selection offers plenty of choice. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. We had two servers and both were very friendly and attentive. Glasses were kept full of water which I appreciated. Food- I’ll start by saying it’s a 4 course winterlicious meal. There was a lot of food between the dips, mezze , main and dessert. I believe a floor manager or host recommended the Truffle Rakakat (spelling*) for the mezze portion. Not that the other food wasn’t great but, man oh man, the Rakakat was VERY good. If you like cheese, it’s a levelled up mozzarella stick. Mains were lamb and skewer plates. Both great and there was plenty of food, no skimping here! All in all, it was a great winterlicious experience here. Makes me want to come back for the regular service menu.

A small restaurant, but do not hold that against it. Pure Vida was a pleasant surprise, with a menu that offers lovely flavours from Costa Rica. We can particularly recommend some of the appetizers such as the fries, the corn ribs, and the guac and chips. The plantain that came with the guac was amazing, and the fries had unique seasoning, that made them some of the best fries I've ever had. The mains were good too, I'd recommend going for some of the more unique and traditional dishes, as they'll have more interesting seasonings and flavours. Definitely planning to come again to explore more of the menu. My only complaint would be that it can be a bit too salty sometimes, but not so much that it becomes inedible. The service was mostly good. The servers were nice and helped us with any questions we had, and gave helpful advice. The food was prepared quickly, in fact, they can slow down a bit, our mains were served when we were still in the middle of our appetizers. This seems to require a bit more coordinating between kitchen and front of house. It made it feel rushed. The drinks took a lot longer, they came halfway through the mains. All issues that require some finetuning. All this may be because it was a busy evening. The atmosphere is very informal, with nice decorations and lots of green. It all felt very tropical. There was a loud group while we were eating, but that comes with the small space, I guess. I don't understand the number of huge screens with unrelated stock videos; they're distracting. I see this in other restaurants, and I never like it.
