The Lexington is more than a restaurant, it’s an institution. Located on the corner of Lexington Parkway and Grand Avenue, this St. Paul community was the most fashionable at the turn of the 19th century. The St. Paul elite lived just blocks away and the first electric trolley brought visitors up and down Grand Avenue. The Lexington opened in 1935, after the end of prohibition, and was a popular neighborhood bar to gather and socialize. Previously operating as a speakeasy, the expansive wood panels were perfect for hiding a little booze and one can only imagine the shenanigans going on beyond the hidden staircase behind the coat check. Such a beautiful, clean restaurant! The menu offered a variety of options, including vegetarian. The food was delicious. I do not understand why there were not more patrons. The waiter, who may have been the owner was attentive but not invasive, very nice. I drove up from SW Wisconsin and met a friend here. We were not disappointed!

Although extremely busy, our reservations for 6 were readily handled. Wide selection of wines, beer and cocktails; ours were enjoyable. Wait staff was professional, skilled, and graciously satisfied all special requests. Food, especially our turkey dinners, we're delectable. I recommend The Lexington for any special event or delicious meal prepared better than homemade. Thanks for working on Thanksgiving!

Went to Holman's Table for Thanksgiving dinner and it was fabulous! It was nice to have our choice of appetizer and dessert. The main dinner portions were very generous (enough for take home if you so choose). The turkey dinner (turkey, stuffing and gravy...) was perfectly seasoned. Our server and other staff were incredible. Having a nut allergy I was so happy to see their menu didn't include pecans, walnuts or almonds like so many other restaurants use in their holiday dinner menu. The price was very reasonable.
