General Public is inspired by trying to imagine what an upscale English pub would be if it had the heart of an American brasserie (and was open 11 to 11). It’s also going to signal a little bit of steakhouse, but not too much. And finally, it will look behind itself at the Black Hoof, which you will see reflected in James Santon’s menu here and there. In terms of vibe, the main floor is ‘everything’s gone green’, with lush comfortable banquette seating, warm wood, and barstools designed for long conversations over many cocktails. Upstairs you’ll find a completely different space that transports you to a peachy 80s dream.     I finally visited Rasa last night with my girlfriend after hearing so many great recommendations, and it did not disappoint! We opted for the $80 tasting menu, and it was absolutely worth it. This place is proof that amazing food doesn’t need to rely on overcomplicated recipes or fancy ingredients. Every dish was thoughtfully paired, and the simple yet skillful preparations delivered incredible flavors. I’m already looking forward to going back to explore more of their menu. Highly recommend!

    Excellent service, and the decor was beautiful. We were made very welcome. The food was delicious… veal luminescent and the crispy portobello mushroom were a hit with our party. Desserts were also excellent!
