Chef Stephanie Izard and her team are thrilled to have joined LA’s vibrant restaurant community and continue our tradition of serving bold-flavored foods in a fun and lively family-style setting. Stephanie and her team have also crafted new dishes inspired by California produce and local flavors, like carrot-tahini dip with tahini tofu, and curried goat with radishes, pickled vegetables, and masa chips. Located in the Arts District at 555 Mateo, Girl & the Goat offers dinner service Monday through Sunday, plus brunch Sunday. Brian Dunsmoor’s namesake restaurant, Dunsmoor, is the latest iteration of his ongoing exploration of American heritage cooking. It is, first and foremost, a restaurant for the community that surrounds it, and a loving expression of the relentless research that has informed his cooking for the last ten years.We offer the full menu at tables in our dining room and at the chef's counter, as well as at our outdoor tables. Reservations are recommended but we make every effort to accommodate walk-ins when possible. Dunsmoor's wine bar, accessible either through the restaurant or via its own door on Ave 35, does not accept reservations and serves a limited menu of our raw and larder items.

    Service was very considerate and kind, our server checked on often us and made sure we enjoyed every dish! I love that she gave us the opportunity to speak up if there was something we weren’t happy with (we were happy with everything). She was awesome! Albacore Tuna and Carolina gold rice were the favorites for us and the pork and green chili stew felt like home. The space is beautiful, very minimal and classy. Definitely will be back at the bar for the burger and to try some other items.

    This is my second visit to Abernethy’s with Chef Pyet I was there for brunch on Saturday. I ordered the guacamole to start. It was perfectly seasoned with crispy tortilla chips. For my entree I ordered huevos rancheros. It was a perfect meal. The presentation is very appealing. I definitely enjoyed my meal and hope to return again. It was a little cool so I had inside seating but on a warm day the outside seating is very pleasant.
