- JjohnVIPNew York City •4 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThere is nothing better than a menu with the right balance of options, consistently excellent food, top notch service, and an ambiance fit for all levels of revelry. Nicholas may not be in the kitchen as much as the old days, but he makes up for that as the consummate, colorfully shirted host. Plus where else can you still dine under holiday lights in January? And where else can you get the best ice cream in the world that is loved by all?More infoNicholas Barrel & RoostPrice: Expensive• Comfort Food• Red Bank•4.7

- CCathyVIPNew York City •109 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoSophie's is a true neighborhood gem! Four of us dined last night and we all enjoyed our evening. The atmosphere inside Sophies is charming and cozy. We all started with a cocktail and they bring out hot bread and fresh butter in a little ceramic cup. I love when the bread is pipping hot! We then all had salads for our 1st course. Two had the smoked salmon salad and two the beet and endive salad. All were delicious and very ample. For entrees, two had the salmon in a mustard sauce and two the Seafood Vol au vent , which is seafood in puff pastry shell. It consists of good size Salmon chunks, shrimp and scallops , beautifully presented in a cream sauce. It was delicious! I don't even like salmon and I felt it was extremely tasty! The two that had the salmon filets also loved their dish. The portions are more than adequate!! For dessert we all split the warm chocolate cake. It basically is a molten chocolate cake which is rich and delicious!!!! We practically liked the plate clean. Service was attentive but not obtrusive. I would definitely recommend Sophie's Bistro!!!!More infoSophie's BistroPrice: Expensive• French• New Brunswick•4.7

There is no more complementary bread basket – you need to pay $16 for Parker house rolls dessert which was the apple cobbler was missing the whipped cream.More infoNinety AcresPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Bedminster•4.5
