- WWalterPortland / Oregon •2 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoCascadia is in an upmarket hotel focused on business travelers. It is fairly typical of that genre in design and motif. Of note, the restaurant was refreshingly quiet. The staff were attentive and friendly. We ate at Cascadia for Thanksgiving. They served a buffet dinner that was tasty, but not exceptional. The turkey was pressed and formed breast meet sliced thin. The dressing was very nice. Normal Thanksgiving sides ranged from uninspired salads to a very pleasant variety of desserts. Still, at a price north of $50 per head, I expected something more. Nevertheless, my wife and I plan to try out Cascadia for a date night. I will leave another revue then.More infoCascadiaPrice: Moderate• Comfort Food• Tigard•4
- RRobynPortland / Oregon •19 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoAfter two years of having Thanksgiving Dinner at a large and noisy chain restaurant, we opted for King Tide this year. We had not been here before, and it was a great first impression. It was the perfect low-key Thanksgiving we needed. The food was top-notch, and the service was low-key but just right. We'll definitely be back to try out brunch and maybe lunch or dinner some other time. My son and husband had the turkey dinner special and they were both pleased with the quality of the meal. I ordered the special individual beef wellington along with a wedge salad from the regular menu. I am hooked on the wedge salad - it is the best I have ever had with the flavors/seasoning in the dressing. The beef wellington was great. I had never had beef wellington before (but I've definitely seen recipes for it), but it was delicious. For dessert we each tried a different dessert and shared bites with each other - the King Tide sundae, the Basque cheesecake and the pecan pie. All 3 were great! The restaurant opened at 2pm and our reservation was a 2pm, so there was no wait to be seated and our food arrived quickly.More infoKing Tide Fish & ShellPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Downtown•4.3
- BBarbPortland / Oregon •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWe enjoyed the Thanksgiving buffet today. Everything was perfect, except the salmon was a little fishy-tasting. The greeters and waitpersons were friendly and helpful. It didn't feel hurried or rushed even though all seating times were sold out. We definitely would keep this on our list for next year.More infoBrix - Downtown PortlandPrice: Moderate• Comfort Food• Downtown•4.6
- DDavidCalifornia Central Coast •6 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoBorn into an Italian family, we wanted to experience an authentic meal. My wife and I were in town visiting our son for a few days and we said let's go eat at Mama Mia Trattoria. To summarize our meal and experience, the ambiance was perfect, the food was over the top and the ingredients were fresh, perfectly cooked, and tasty. The value of what one pays for this restaurant is a great deal. We will be back and Gracie!More infoMama Mia TrattoriaPrice: Moderate• Contemporary Italian• Downtown•4.3
