We have changed up the menu since re-opening this fall [2023] . We are catering more now to our wonderful neighborhood, and neighbors. So be prepared for a totally different menu than the old "579".     The food was excellent, everything we ordered was very good. If you want a cocktail off the menu they are good, otherwise stick to water. We went for brunch, ordered coffee which they had. Coffee is below average. We didn’t mind since the food was m very very good.

    We celebrated a holiday gathering dinner for 7 family members and the service and meals were outstanding. The restaurant was as busy as usual on a Sunday evening but we got plenty of attention, the meals arrived hot and delicious, and we enjoyed them thoroughly.

    I love trying neighborhood black-owned business and Comfort Kitchen EXCEEDED my expectations. The entire experience was stellar from the warm welcome, the informed menu to the knowledgeable/kind staff. Every single dish we tried was amazing. Our drinks were balanced, inventive and top notch. I was celebrating my birthday and at the end of service the manager even gave me a handwritten birthday card. I will definitely be back.

    Wonderful dining experience. Sat at the bar. We started with cocktails, however keep in mind that they do not serve 'hard' liquor so if you have a hankering for a vodka martini, forget about it. We very much enjoyed the freshly shucked oysters that were ice cold and very sweet. Our entrees were perfect as well as the side of Maple Glazed Acorn Squash. Service was excellent. Kudos to our server Leo at the bar!
