Best Comfort Food Restaurants in South Side

Always excellent coming to Virtue restaurant. My wife and I had a belated Valentine's Day dinner there, and we have gone there for special occasions over the years. Always a good experience: great food, great vibes, reasonable price by the standard of a nice night out.

this was our first experience at Remington’s. Everything was excellent about our evening there. The food and customer service were excellent. The setting was very modern and the facility was very clean and maintained very well.

This lively restaurant is a great lunch stop along busy Michigan Avenue. The selection is varied and the 1/2 sandwich and soup is the best. Service is topnotch and ambience is bight and inviting.

First the restaurant decor is beautiful. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely AMAZING! The portion size was great as well. Music was playing at a level that was enjoyable which allowed us to talk without yelling. Service was prompt and the pricing matched the caliber of food that we received. I highly recommend Jordyn’s restaurant.

I took my mom for a Valentine's Day lunch. We went around 3 PM, and even though my reservation was at 3:30 PM the staff were nice enough to let me in. Granted it was a low volume of people eating at the time. We were sat near the windows which added to the ambience of our visit. The music made it feel like we were in an old fancy jazz club. I had the French onion soup and the chicken sandwich while my mom had the Walnut turkey club sandwich. Both sandwiches came with well seasoned fries. The food was delicious and our waitress, Annette, was very attentive and sweet. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely go again. I would highly recommend the Walnut Room.
