Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Timberwood Park / Bulverde

The hostess was a very personable person - just the sort of greeter you like to meet when entering a restaurant. The drinks were good and the service was adequate albeit a bit slow. Nothing moves too quickly here. The tri tip dip sandwich was very good as was the shrimp topped salad. The beet salad was too spicey but the waiter removed the charge - nice touch. The broccoli soup was not a “soup” but rather a mixture of veggies- not recommended!

In memory of Eddie, the previous matte ‘d. His spirit lives on and our server, Mikaela was attentive, bubbly, cheerful and engaging. She looked after my twin 14 girls who birthday we have celebrated at this Maggiano’s for the past 8 years. Please thank her for making our night to enjoyable.

We enjoyed a delicious craft cocktail at the bar before dinner. Dinner was excellent! We enjoyed/shared crab cakes, shrimp andouille, brussel sprouts, and mushroom side dishes; excellent flavors and our combination of dishes enhanced our dining experience! The service was excellent by all who took care of our beverage and dining needs... thank-you! We will certainly return and highly recommend for others to experience. We stayed at the Kendall Inn that was absolutely lovely located right next door.

The Ambler Restaurant offers a beautifully inviting atmosphere that feels both comfortable and sophisticated. The staff is exceptionally polite and professional, making for a delightful dining experience. Our waiter frequently checked in on us to ensure everything was to our liking. When I mentioned that I would prefer my dish to be heated a bit more, she promptly and cheerfully addressed my request. To my surprise, the chef personally came out to apologize and graciously offered a complimentary dessert, along with a freshly prepared plate that was absolutely perfect. I left feeling thoroughly satisfied and would give this place all the stars if I could! The service was excellent and the ambiance elegant. I will definitely be returning!

Daniel made our experience very nice. Buffet is excellent. The chef on the omelet station is great. He is the main chef there. Customer service experience was impeccable.
