- SStacyChicago / Illinois •13 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoI love coming here - one of our favorite places in the city for the spectacular views, inside and outside. Drinks are good, I had a glass of wine this time. The food was good but not great. The sausage and pear flatbread was quite dry, as was the carrot cake. The lamb meatballs were very good. Service was great!More infoThe Monarch ClubPrice: Expensive• American• Detroit•4.3
- AAmyvipDetroit / Eastern Michigan •3 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoReally enjoyed the food and the server was great. Part way through our brunch, the music level was increased to, in my opinion, louder than was comfortable. We mentioned it to the server while cashing out. Other than that, really enjoyable meal.More infoPresley'sPrice: Moderate• American• Detroit•4
- OTOpenTable DinerDetroit / Eastern Michigan •3 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoWe visited Javier’s during opening week and we were pleasantly surprised. They have done a great job with the decor. It feels cozy and elegant. Definitely a nice date night or special occasion worthy. Very spacious and can hold lather parties. The food was seasoned well overall. The only remark on improvement would be to season the rice and beans, and to have the wait staff inform patrons of the price of upcharges. The appetizer chicken wings were perfection. The fish tacos were flavorful and hearty. The airplane chicken was seasoned really well. We’ll definitely be back and look forward to adding the Javier’s experience into our regular places to visit.More infoJavier’s DowntownPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Mexican• Detroit•4

I’ve been past this place and even participated in events in the space right adjacent to the restaurant, but had never been here. The architecture of the ceilings and windows with the reflections, etc makes you feel like you are on the water at night. The green curry mussels were bright and perfectly seasoned! I savored every bit of the curry sauce and asked our server if they sold it by the bottle!!! We also had the walleye, pork belly and a side of perfectly charred asparagus. Dominique was attentive and personable… Will def go back to try the lamb chops and other interesting things we saw on the menu!More infoLumen DetroitPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Detroit•4.6
- JJillSouth Carolina •6 reviews5.0Dined on 15 Nov 2024We stayed at the Detroit Foundation Hotel, so of course we needed to try the restaurant. Except for getting seated at a small table by the entrance when the restaurant was almost empty and there were plenty of nicer table to choose from, it all turned out great. The food…. perfection!!!! The oysters were so fresh and delicious! The cocktails and their wine list were great, so even before considering the entrees, we were impressed. The menu is seasonal and had a nice variety to it. We ended up ordering Gnocchi and the Lamb ragu pasta which was perfect. Both dishes filled with flavors and the perfect size. The vibe at the hotel was great and I would be perfectly fine just staying at the hotel for a weekend enjoying perfect food, fun Saturday afternoon cocktails (they have a DJ playing great music) and excellent brunches on the weekends. If anything, the staff was a little inattentive. They very easily ignored people wanted to buy something at the bar, tables in the lobby bar didn’t get cleaned when people left etc. But still I gotta love this place.More infoThe Apparatus RoomPrice: Expensive• Bar / Lounge / Bottle Service• Detroit•4.6
