Best Cosy Restaurants in Kingston

It was good! The seafood chowder was DELICIOUS! 3 of us had a filet, and while they were cooked perfectly, we all said the same thing…too much salt. Quite a bit of pepper too, couldn’t taste any other spices. Oh, and unless you like fries, order something other than ‘frites’. They were actually quite good (and a lot of them), but not what I would expect to have with a nice steak. Next time we’ll ask for a different potato. The steak tartar was a little disappointing too, I’ve had better. It was served with some kind of hard bread that took away from what flavor the meat had. When I made the reservation (via OpenTable) I noted that it was for our anniversary, and that we wanted a quiet table if possible. There was no mention of the special day, and we were put at a table in the middle of the room. In all fairness, they were busy, and maybe that was the best they could do, but it would have been nice to have someone say ‘happy anniversary’, or maybe a free dessert or something. In spite of everything, it was a good experience, and we’ll be back with a better knowledge of what/how to order….

The service was awesome. Great help with the wine, had a beautiful glass of Italian white. Split a Caesar salad and it was delicious. My wife had the Gorgonzola gnocchi which was good, a little rich though. I had the carbonara with the shrimp. Not a lot of flavor, even with the bacon.

This is such a fun place to meet friends or family. We were so happy to see the specials for the night included their famously popular and delicious dill pickle pizza! The food is always good, our server was lovely and we were able to catch up with longtime friends. We’ll request patio seating next time as it looked very inviting…cozy and a bit quieter. All in all, a very positive experience!

Our server was delightful and the owner stopped by to chat as well. Yummy food too!
