Best Cosy Restaurants in Donelson

I mentioned in my reservation that we were coming for a birthday, and they surprised us with 1) a happy birthday message printed on the menu, 2) a welcome birthday toast and 3) a birthday dessert. They were also highly accommodating to our 10-year-old, adjusting a simple buttered pappardelle that she went crazy for. Start to finish, cocktails to dessert, the food was outstanding and the service was just as great.

Always a wonderful experience here! The food, the service, the selection - all fantastic! You can tell so much care is put into what goes on the menu, we’ve never had anything that wasn’t top quality. An absolute must-visit!

11 out of 10 Favorite bites were the chutoro and the otoro toast with alittle uni on top. Cocktails were all amazing Price is very reasonable And it’s worth to add some of the ala carte options like the tuna truffle and uni Didn’t feel rushed even though the experience is limited to 90 minutes. Received countless reminders leading up to the dinner regarding the timing and expectations. Can’t wait for my next dinner there!

It’s hard to find a contemporary American restaurant that really raises the bar on creativity, innovation, flavor, and service, but the Pelican & Pig provides on every front. Everything was delicious and flavorful. Our server gave us great recommendations on food and drink; he was attentive but not intrusive. We’re pretty selective about where we spend our date night budget, and we will definitely be coming back. The cook on the steak was so perfect that we’ve brought it up multiple times since last night. Strongly recommend the phyllo dough app; sweet potatoes; broccolini; and the strip steak.

So glad that we finally tried this place. After a lot of "meh" meals in Nashville over the past 5 or so years (soooo many steak houses doing the same thing), it was refreshing to see a place getting it right. For us, this is exactly what dining should be: personable and fun with well executed food and good pricing. I wouldn't call it cheap, but you get what you pay for, which is all anyone should expect. They aren't trying to be gimmicky or too hip. They are just doing what they do well. This is in our rotation now, along with Lyra, Yolan, Carne Mare and Bella Napoli...all places that do what they do extremely well without trying to be everything to everyone.
