Avelo Restaurant is located in a heritage townhouse on a quiet street in Yorkville and serves some of the city's finest plant-based cuisine.     I went for Valentine's Day. They had a three-course fixed price menu for $89. The thing that stood out the most was the service. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful; he must have filled my water glass five times! The appetizer was good - I had the mushroom soup. The main course (duck two ways) was excellent. We shared a dessert, which also was good. Although it was pricey, I would come back for a special occasion.

    What can be said about Canoe that hasn’t been said already. Amazing views. Amazing food. Amazing cocktails and wines. Amazing service. Canoe has been one of our favourites over the last few years, in no small part due to Chef Ron’s culinary knowhow and vision. Knowing that today was to be Ron’s last day we had to stop by one more time to partake in some delectable food, delicious beverages, and delightful service. (All from the best seats in the house, on the Chef’s Rail!) Many thanks to Sarah for the service. Thanks to the rest of the FoH team and of course the BoH team, all for taking such great care of us today. And of course, Chef Ron himself for the conversation, and years of wonderful culinary excellence. Chef, you will be missed sir!

    Dailo is always delicious but this time we did winterlicious with a group of 4 - the waiter was smart about it and pre-emptively suggested everyone "ordering" a different item, but brought it out in portions enough for everyone, so that we ended up being able to eat the entire menu! Great value! Would definitely do it again.
