Taxim, which is located in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood, features regionally-inspired Greek dishes paired with an all-Greek wine list. The stunning dining room is fitted with soaring 16-foot ceilings, travertine marble floors, dramatic Byzantine-style lamps and artwork, and the rooftop dining area lined with Greek flowering herbs.The restaurant was chosen as one of of Chicago's Best New Restaurants in 2009/2010 by the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Magazine and the Chicago Reader.     Greek Yumminess happening here!!! I came here a few years ago on a date and enjoyed the outdoor seating. Service was impeccable as I believe the woman's name was Miranda. Dined inside this weekend and had another great experience with a lovely young lady by the name of Laboni...very good at her job as she broke down all the goodies for us and made our experience even better. Ambience is very nice as its an authentic Greek restaurant so it looks the part. Its definitely good Euro vibes here! Food here never disappoints and I recommend the following: Fried cauliflower ( KOUNOUPÍDI TIGANITÓ)/ capers and whipped goat feta Octopus (HTAPODÁKI STI SGÁRA) Hummus (Revithosalata) and pita Braised Lamb Shank (ARNÍ YUVETSÁKI) Wood Grilled Lamb Chops (PAÏDÁKIA ME PLIGOÚRI) Wild Boar (AGRIOGURUNO) Baklavas Greek Coffee Karavitakis Klima (medium body red wine) Everything I listed was delicious between both trips here! Great place for dates and group outings. I love this place and plan to take advantage of the rooftop patio that I just became aware of.

    Wonderful experience! First time at Francesca but we will definitely be back! We started out with the CARPACCIO CON AVOCADO, along with their fresh bread - fantastic! My husband ordered ROLLI ALLA FRANCESCA, which he was very happy with. I ordered AGNOLOTTI QUATTRO FORMAGGI, delicious little pasta pillows with wild mushrooms & brown butter sauce. Well balanced, and delicious! We went for the classic tiramisu, the best I’ve ever had! We also ordered the Sticky Toffee Carrot Cake. My husband orders carrot cake wherever we go & he said this was definitely in his top 3. The coffee was simple, classic and delicious. Along with solid service, the manager came over to introduce himself & check on us. Chefs kiss to this entire dining experience!
