Best Date Night Restaurants in Aptos

Celebrated a good friend's retirement and could not have asked for a nicer evening. On a cool evening, we had a cozy table for 4 indoors (although the outdoor seating looked comfortable). Started with cocktails and the tempura beans. Then moved on to the wedge salad. Folks had halibut, scalops and the veggie risotto for mains along with a very reasonably priced bottle of wine. Bread pudding and candied popcorn (on the house) for desert. Every sip and bite was delicious with a special call out to the wedge salad. We've been before and we will be back. I am so excited for Downtown San Jose after dining at Eos & Nyx. This restaurant is top notch and I cannot wait to go back. It is in the old moving theatre building and it just gave the whole corner new life! The decor is warm and inviting while also being contemporary. The service was amazing. We never had a dirty plate or napkin on our table for more than five minutes. The food? The food is the best I've had in the South Bay since Alexanders in Cupertino 15 years ago. My husband had the NY Strip and I had the pork chop. Both were 5 stars. Their cocktails were the best we've had in a while as well. The couple next to us ordered a pasta dish and a side of their mushrooms and cleaned their plates as well. The amuse bouche, pallet cleanser and dessert samples were a delightful surprise. The only slight negative was how loud it is inside. I love having music but it made it hard to hear the servers. Maybe turn it down a notch. We are already planning when we can go back!

Went for a first date. The place is small with approximately 25 chairs. I would recommend making an a reservation to ensure a seat. Great staff, ambiance, food, and wine choices.
