The menu had changed a bit since our last time, but the ambiance remained fantastic. We continue to love the attentive service and live music. For appetizers, we ordered the shrimp cocktail and crab scampi. The shrimp (4) were massive, and the cocktail sauce was spot on. The crab claws (5) were absolutely delicious, and the accompanying sauce was so good I saved it to use on my mashed potatoes. For our entrées, I had the crab cake, and he chose the ribeye (medium well), and we shared a side of mashed potatoes. The crab cake was outstanding, with a perfectly crisp top layer and plenty of flavorful crab. The ribeye was cooked exactly how he likes it—tender, flavorful, and just juicy enough (though I would have preferred medium). Drinks-wise, I enjoyed three Bogart’s Gimlets and a shot of Don Julio Añejo, while he had three Manhattans, a shot of Michter’s, and we split a beer. The drinks were tasty, but neither of us felt tipsy—interpret that as you will regarding the pour strength. We did mention we were celebrating a birthday, but there were no special treats or mentions for us. We noticed other tables receiving birthday cakes, cotton candy, etc., so it seems you might have to request or pay for those. Not a big deal, but worth noting for anyone expecting a complimentary celebration gesture. Overall, we had a great time and will definitely return for the ambiance, live music, and excellent food. The total cost was $436, including the tip.More infoDrake's Hollywood - DallasPrice: Very Expensive• American• Park Cities•4.7

Had the deviled eggs as the appetized but should probably have tried the recommended cornbread or Fuyu Persimmon Carpaccio. I had the short ribs which were so tender I could just touch them with my fork, and the sides were delicious. My other half had the Kurobuta Pork Chop, which from my taste was also perfectly prepared. We took their suggestion for the Apple Pie Bread Pudding for dessert and it did not disappoint. Drinks were well presented and just right. Highly recommend.More infoRoots Southern TablePrice: Very Expensive• Regional American (Southern)• North Dallas / Addison•4.8

Attentive bar tenders while enjoying drinks before dinner, an extensive wine list, a wide variety of appetizer choices, delicious dry aged steaks and enormous deserts. What makes it even better is the service form one of the best waiters around, Scott Kline. Be sure to ask for Scott when you dine at Pappas Bros. You won't be disappointed.More infoPappas Bros. - PPeggy and DanvipDallas - Fort Worth •9 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoWe had an absolute 5-star experience at Perch celebrating my octogenarian mother’s birthday. It could not have been a more memorable evening thanks to the incredible team at Perch. The hostess greeted us so warmly, took my mother’s walker after we were seated and brought it back to us just as we were preparing to leave. It was our first time to dine there and our server took extra time sharing with us the favorite menu items in all categories and answered all our questions. Each one of us raved about every item we had and shared. Highlights were the pizza(a house specialty) Dip Dip Dip appetizer, B & B House salad, bolognese pappardelle pasta and the beignet dessert(provided to us complimentary), complete with candle. Our server even sang happy birthday to my mother-in Korean! Our beverages were promptly refilled or replaced, silverware and plates exchanged frequently, and we were attended to so kindly and efficiently by the entire service team. And not to forget the ambiance and decor. The inviting terra cotta and ceramic-tiled kitchen and servery area, beautifully-upholstered banquettes, lovely floral arrangements on the tables and clever avian artwork were the perfect setting for our celebration!More infoPerch Bistro and BarPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Park Cities•4.7
