The buzz of the dining room mirrors the energy of the street on Spadina Avenue; the dining room itself mimics a train’s dining car. Food was excellent. Ambiance was great. Service was exceptional. One star was lost because of two things: (1) the table was not wiped before giving us the dessert menu. There were crumbs on the table; (2) the Negroni did not have the big square ice cube but had ice chunks. Excuse given by server was lame - they had no room to store the ice cubes.

We went for the oysters and we were not disappointed! Both our server (long time server of Pure Spirits whose name sadly forget) and the manager served us and chatted about the oyster we had ordered. Overall we lived all the food we ordered and the attentiveness of our server.

We had a great time at Gusto 501. We ordered carpaccio, baked brussel sprouts, and Pepperoni pizza from the Happy Hour menu, and Truffle Pasta and Risotto from the main menu. All meals were delicious.
