Eight years ago, Maximo Bistrot started as a restaurant for the thinking and execution of dishes from a wide range of techniques with the best of local ingredients; a warmful place that communicated our love for food. After a long and heartwarming road at our current location, we thought for the need of moving. Our new home, located at Alvaro Obregon 65 bis - a much wider space where gleams of natural light shine upon the surface-, is carefully assembled by Gabriela's meticulous look, and a kitchen built within Eduardo García's early memories, while living as an inmigrant in a barn in Ohio. Despite this big change, our principles initially founded remain the same: to offer food that distinguishes the best of local products.

Casa Virginia is my new favorite restaurant in Mexico. The calming and stunning interior immediately transports you to the beginning of the last century and makes for an oasis in a loud and bustling city. Every member of staff was welcoming, attentive, and friendly. And the food! The food is mouthwatering and full of flavor, and it speaks to the eyes and well as to the stomach. I enjoyed a range of delights from tender sea bass to the most scrumptious asparagus and beyond, and my only disappointment was that I had no room for dessert. I’ll be sure to visit Casa Virginia at least once on every trip to Mexico City and I would urge you to do the same and enjoy the culinary magic of Mónica Patiño. Great service and beautiful restaurant. The birria tacos were excellent but the octopus was overcooked and burned. Drinks were wonderful and dessert was excellent.
