- SSylviaVIPHouston •82 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoOne of the best meals I have had in a very long time. We were warmly greeted by the host at check in. It was clear, they were ready for us as they confirmed my note on Open Table that my husband and I were excited to celebrate the new 2025 year as we both will be celebrating monumental years of our lives. My dear friend whose nearby joined us to make it a party of 3. Plenty of parking was available around the corner. No valet needed. Relatively safe. The restaurant was so chic, like an upscale Parisian cafe look. We ordered the prefix menu $120/person and I got the nonalcoholic pairing. (Add’l $60. It was fabulous!!!) They make some of the non alcoholic drinks in house. We started with some complimentary crudités that were excellent! Perfect balance of flavors and textures. Ok just gonna share pics and the menu for the night. Some of us got the same thing so I’m just gonna share pics non duplicates. Highly recommend this place! I’ll definitely be back from Texas to just try this place again. Staff was awesome! Attentive and informed us along the courses what was what…and ended the night so happy. I’m still thinking about last nights fantastic dinner! Wagyu was $55 extra I think…and we also got dozen oysters (tried all three types and they were all good). Only able to share 10 pics max so some pics didn’t make it. But seriously if you’re a foodie a must try!! Michelin star chef for a reason!More infoJeune et JoliePrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary French• Carlsbad•4.9

If you’re claustrophobic probably not the spot for you. Over all the music was a surprise. - MDMaveDNew Orleans / Louisiana •9 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe were visiting Oceanside and I had read a blog that said to make sure we made a reservation here. Another couple joined us and we were all blown away with the quality of the food (fresh seafood) and the flavors were outstanding. The custom menu was beautifully put together. We enjoyed about 5 appetizers between us, 3 rolls of sushi, and 2 desserts. We couldn't stop. Make sure to make a reservation because there was a line outside of about 30 people who waited about an hour. Highly recommend!More infoWrench and Rodent SeabasstropubPrice: Moderate• Sushi• Oceanside•4.8
- AandrewVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •12 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoservice outstanding - great team coverage of the table, attentive and respectful. food superb (in particular detail touches regarding combining textures and of course pairing of the ingridients; spice was a bit overpowering in one of the 10 courses, but raspberry and amberjack combo, or guava puree touch are memorable) and wine/sake pairing (even the basic selection) are noteworthy, in particular the german wines in course 1 and 3. doubt that most of the patrons present today appreciated it in its entirety. again, true team effort to make the experience very much excellent in every aspect of service. additionally, superb selection of the music to create the ambience. the experience could be elevated to the next level easily - loose the glaring finish on the tables that reflects the well spot lights, better chpsticks, and perhaps clth napkins. for ambience - how about limiting reservations to party of 4 to eliminate the "gathering" vibe at a larger table and move the sounds down, and atmosphere up to focus on the courses. overall - it is a gem and higly recommendMore infoMatsuPrice: Very Expensive• Creative Japanese• Oceanside•4.7
- JJimVIPSan Diego •66 reviews4.0Dined on 15 Dec 2024A great concept but very limited menu. Removed a favorite-the squash-and substituted it with an easier to prepare dish. Five skinny slices of Prager Brothers bread for $4.00 was excessive.More infoMerendaPrice: Expensive• Wine Bar• Oceanside•4.7
