Shrimp scampi with angel hair pasta and a side salad Veal Milanese with angel hair pasta and side of minestrone soup. Generous portions, incredible fresh pasta. Bread served with ricotta butter. We had a reservation , seated promptly and excellent service !’ Italian food at its best. We will return.

We have been to Talus a few times. We live about 40 miles away so it’s a bit of a drive. But we were celebrating my birthday with our best friends and I chose Talus because it is always good and we were able to make a reservation. We were seated right away in a booth which was perfect as our friend Dave will be having a hip surgery soon and the booths are more comfortable. Our server, Angela, came over right away with waters and to take our drink order and explain the Valentines menu. She made our experience that much better. I had the cod which was cooked to perfection and super flaky. The potatoes served with it were excellent and the vegetable medley was delicious . Our friend Marilyn had the seafood risotto which was delicious and creamy and a very generous portion. The guys had the salmon and both said it was some of the best they have had. The Valentines special drinks were very good especially the raspberry which was so creamy and delicious. Worth the drive and we will definitely be back.

Always a delicious meal with great service. Today, was a special Valentine’s menu and it didn’t disappoint. We enjoyed the scallops and Wagyu Denver steak! Desserts were scrumptious (berry cheesecake and raspberry beignets with ice cream and caramel sauce). Love this restaurant. We were also pleasantly surprised to see Steven again as our server. He is very knowledgeable and friendly.

The large menu is only half of it, you can choose your level of spiciness. Some people shy away from new food because they don't like or can't handle spicy foods. this lets you enjoy wonderful dishes at the flavor level you want

Our group enjoyed a delicious early dinner at Gorat’s on a Tuesday evening. Menu choices included the salmon dinner, wedge salad with shrimp, onion soup and beef filet dinner. All were very good, presented beautifully with very wait time. Atmosphere is relaxing and quiet; hostesses and waiter were friendly and provided excellent service. Parking is plentiful and close to the restaurant - a huge plus on a cold night. Great experience at one of Omaha’s classics.
