- JJoannaNewcastle and Northumberland •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoToday was beautiful, the food the atmosphere and service. Mark who looked after us today is the most professional, helpful and friendly gentleman. He was so attentive and polite we thought he was wonderful. Mark really makes you feel taken care of and comfortable. Such an asset to a beautiful experience. - JJohnManchester/Greater Manchester •2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe had a really nice meal, served by a wonderful host. It was a shame we were the only people in for a while, added to during the meal as a few came to the bar for a pint or two, so ambiance a little lacking. Timing, we guess, as it was a late lunch. Won’t put us off going back as it’s always welcoming and food never disappoints so either later this holiday or next time we’re up, for sure.More infoThe Joiners ArmsPrice: Expensive• Gastro Pub• Alnwick•4.2
- KKathrynNewcastle and Northumberland •2 reviews5.0Dined on 14 Dec 2024Scallops with black pudding were so good last time, both of my sisters had it this time as well as me - still as amazingly awesome as before!! Brother in law (who's birthday treat it was) had the gravadlax and reckoned it was excellent. One sister shared the Fish Platter with me - it was amazing, mussel broth was delicious and lobster and crab claws were really good too. The only downside was it was sooo huge we didn't get close to finishing it!! It would definitely do three easily - lesson learned for next time! We would have loved to try puddings but we were all so full by that time we had to pass :-( Also really enjoyed the Albarino - I have been drinking the Portuguese one but the NZ one was really good too. A lovely evening with excellent service and good food and company - Thank you very much and hope to see you again soon!More infoThe Potted Lobster - BamburghPrice: Expensive• Fish• Bamburgh•4.7

Food good and inexpensive. Looking a bit rough round the edges but just been taken over so hopefully will be fixed (toilets mainly).More infoThe Plough, AlnwickPrice: Moderate• Pub• Newcastle upon Tyne•3.3
