'The Crabtree, with its spectacular position downstream from The River Cafe,has a huge sprawling garden, a glazed colonnade and frontage on to theThames shaded by a weeping willow. The prawns in chilli hot oil and the toastspread with tomatoes and onions were good, so much so we ordered themagain when we returned for Sunday lunch. Our inspiration is the Zeus Faber… John Dory, one of many local fish that can be fished sustainably and from our shores and although it has a wonderful Latin come Greek name it also has a very British name, John Dory. Faber is the Latin word for ‘Smith’ – Like a few other Latin occupational names (e.g. Agricola for farmer, Nauta for sailor). Been meaning to go to the Harwood Arms for ages - managed to get a booking for my husband’s birthday. Exceptional food, meaty, rich and delicious. Lovely, relaxed, unpretentiousness ambience in a refreshingly old-fashioned pub atmosphere. Surprisingly reasonably priced. Will definitely go again.

The Sunday roast was amazing, and our host, Liam, was outstanding. He was attentive and made sure that we had a top-up on our roast. His timing for each course we had was impeccable. It was the best customer service I've experienced in a long time. I will definitely visit again because the customer service was 10/10.

Lots of choice. Starters and mains were well presented and tasted lovely. Disappointed with desserts, but that may just be our personal tastes and wouldn’t put me off going again. Restaurant was clean and tidy, including the toilets. Staff were friendly and attentive.
