Best Family Style Restaurants in Princeton

Outside was a bit loud this time because there was a big party (20 pp) in the tent, but still enjoyable. Last time we went it was the opposite and the inside was louder so I think it depends on the group. Either way we always love the food there and the waitstaff are always upbeat and personable. We’ve been coming to Visalia’s for 20 years, ever since we moved to the area and it’s always been great

Not as good as last time but I understand very busy night

Our second time at Blue Bottle and we plan to return even though we live over an hour away. The Valentine's Day Prix Fixe meal was deliciously paired, expertly prepared and wonderfully served. Our wait staff, Brian, is an absolute gem. He also served us on our first visit 3 months prior and we were stunned that he recalled where we sat, what we ate and where we stayed for the weekend in nearby Princeton. He was extremely attentive without being intrusive and expertly ensured our evening was wonderful. The stuffed mushrooms and braised red roast duck crepe appetizers were off the chart delicious. Their Blue Bottle salad is simple yet wonderfully balanced. The pan roasted New York strip steaks were cooked to order, including rare for my wife which she loves, but at so many other places is poorly executed. The tomato confit with the meat was so good Brian bought us extra. We had decision anxiety on dessert, but were delighted with the profiteroles and pineapple upside-down cake with caramel sauce. They were so delicious that we went rogue getting a third ala carte dessert, the chocolate pot du creme, which was the best we've ever had.

PERFECT...The staff went out of their way to present an outstanding evening. Very warm and friendly greeting upon arrival. Rose petals on the table as well as a small vase with a rose. Staff came right over and poured a complimentary sparkling wine. The service was outstanding. They never rush you in this restaurant. Live entertainment was great in the background. As always the food was very good. Ownership was present to make sure everything was going smoothly. Outstanding evening. I highly recommend this restaurant. We are looking forward to their upcoming "Steakhouse Wine Dinner". Thanks !

Excellent Lobster Ravioli in vodka sauce with large scallops. Service always great !!!
