Best Family Style Restaurants in Solana Beach

Whipped ricotta was not our fave, slightly bland. Brussel sprouts were very good, liked spicy sauce. Bucatini Amatriacini was not very good, have had so much better, a bit flavorless and oily. Soppresta and sausage pizza was very good. We were mixed on Tiramisu but I loved it.

What amazing date spot. We love Tara Monsod’s Animae and her unique come packaged in an exciting new way. Maybe best gnocci we have ever had!

Amazing food, service and ambiance. Authentic pasta, one of the best steaks I have ever had, and great wine. Also, our server was incredible.

Wonderful gem of a restaurant in UTC, a mall that has been transformed into a foodie paradise. From the moment we walked in for the first visit, we were treated as returning family. Service was exceptional! We started with the Calabrian mussels which were absolutely perfect. We tried the Cacio e Peppe with shaved truffles, Lobster Fra diavlo (one of the night’s specials), spicy rigatoni and Carbonara. None disappointed and the pasta was clearly all freshly made. Ending with limoncello really put the cherry on top of a fabulous evening. The restaurant space is beautiful and big, music was perfect and set the stage for a fun night. We will definitely be back to try other offerings.

Went for dinner prior to a movie like many others on Saturday night. The place was packed with a number of large parties for which this is a good place. Service was very energetic and excellent however the food was fair to good at best. However given its ambience and energy I'm not certain having excellent food would materially impact their business.
