We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to celebrate Galentine’s Day! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was chef’s kiss—warm lighting, chic decor, and just the right vibe for a night of laughter and good food. Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely divine! Every dish was plated beautifully and bursting with flavor. The scallop, shrimp and risotto was a must-try, and don’t even get me started on the cocktails. The WTH signature cocktail was the perfect mix of sweet and strong! The service was top-notch too! From the hostess, who was ann anbs delight, the bartender and our server were attentive, gave great recommendations, and made us feel like VIPs. Proxi's food is not only outstanding but memorable. It is rare to experience such a level of care and quality. We are grateful to have such a restaurant in Chicago.

Took hubby here for his birthday. This was our second time visiting. The food was just as we remembered, if not even better! We started off with the gumbo, which was hearty in itself. My husband had the Short ribs, which were tender and flavorful. I had the blackened catfish, which was flaky, seasoned well, and melted in my mouth. We also ordered as sides: collard greens, mac n cheese, and cornbread. OMG, I could've lived off the cornbread alone! Greens were cooked to perfection, and mac n cheese was creamy but not overly cheesy. Needless to say, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, and we had a lot of leftovers. The service was top-notch, and it was a great experience overall. It is a small space, so be prepared to maybe sit a little close to other patrons. It was cool for us, great conversation. We will definitely be back, try something else, and remember those sides are enough to 2👍🏾

I just went here for our anniversary and it was an excellent experience. The food was amazing. The grilled shellfish platter was one of the best dishes I’ve had in my life. We had a little bit of a later reservation so the kitchen was closing soon after our appetizers but our server made sure to get our entree order in and did not make us feel rushed at all. He brought us out some desert and even a little toast to celebrate our anniversary. Our busboy as well noticed that our table was uneven and fixed it without being asked. Even the manager was attentive and stopped by the table to see how everything was. I will 1000% be back for the excellent service and amazing food.

We like to sit at the bar. Service is really fast and we enjoy splitting a salad and pasta dish. The wines (reds) and cocktails (old fashioneds) are particularly good.
