- DDemetrisLondon •4 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoAmazing roast dinner with attentive and professional staff. Reasonably priced for the amount of food on the plate. Real homely roast dinner. The gravy is to die for and the veg selection was perfect. We had the chicken and lamb roasts and both were perfectly cookedMore infoThe Terrace at SópersPrice: Moderate• British• Potters Bar•4.2

- MMarkVIPLondon •1 review5.0Dined on 29 Dec 2024Always exceptional dining. The Sunday roast is unmatched to that of any others we have sought in search of the perfect roast. So much so that we recently visited the Heston Blumenthal’s establishment [The Hinds Head] in Bray for a Sunday roast, and whilst the lunch was faultless, we and accompanying friends believe it didn’t match that of the Gables.More infoGables RestaurantPrice: Expensive• International• Hertford•4.8

- VVixieHertfordshire •4 reviews4.0Dined on 17 Aug 2019Really pretty place with the terrace right by the river. Food is very good, tasty and well presented with some interesting flavour combinations such as melon anise sorbet. The head chef came out to deliver the amuse bouche personally and spent time talking to us about produce which was a lovely touch. The only reason I have marked it down is the toilets are upstairs so it wasn't as accessible as it could be However, the staff happily drove the golf buggy round to the front entrance where the toilets are on the same level (the terrace and restaurant are a level down) and then it's a short distance to the toilets. They were also happy to drive the buggy to the car park to deliver less mobile customers such as my mother-in-law so service was excellent.More infoAuberge Du LacPrice: Very Expensive• Modern European• Wheathampstead•4.4
