Serving contemporary French food, this much-loved independent restaurant has been going strong for over 22 years. Before booking, please note the restaurant has both downstairs and upstairs. The same menu options are available on both floors. There is no lift upstairs. Re Tasting Menu Timings: At lunch you must book before 1.45pm, and at dinner before 8.45pm. Tasting menus are not available outside of these times.If you cannot find a table, please contact the restaurant team direct as not all tables are available to book online.     Me and my partner went to Bailiwick this weekend for our Valentine’s Day celebration. The food we received was amazing. Everything was packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. The service was top tier. We didn’t have to wait long between meals and our server was constantly making sure we had full glasses and that we were happy with our food. We will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu, and enjoy the surrounding area. The little touches made the experience what it was. I was given a rose at the end of the meal as a Valentines gift. Thank you

    We were greet at the door very friendly meal and service were very good , my only complaint would be the young couple on the front table to us decided to FaceTime there parents and subject the restaurant to that call totally inappropriate, not the restaurants fault just todays generation!

    We had an absolutely fantastic experience at The French Table! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, setting the tone for an exceptional lunch. The food was delicately prepared and bursting with flavor—every dish was cooked to perfection, and we truly couldn’t ask for more. It was a special occasion—my wife’s birthday—and the team made it even more memorable with their impeccable service and attention to detail. She was beyond happy and completely satisfied with the meal, making it a perfect celebration. If you're looking for elegant, high-quality dining with outstanding hospitality, The French Table is the place to go. Highly recommended!
