Best Fine Dining Restaurants in Union

We had delicious lunch enjoying the filet mignon sandwich & shrimp on the strawberry salad with excellent service from Ryan. The atmosphere was cozy with the glowing fireplace & fabulous red wreath hanging from the ceiling. So festive! It was my friend’s first time there. She, like me, will be back soon.

Chez Catherine is our favorite fine dining restaurant in New Jersey. While there are many restaurants that have great food, none of them compare to the elegance and the experience of Chez Catherine. The current owner has restored Chez Catherine to its former status when Catherine owned the restaurant. It's a small restaurant located in a Best Western hotel, but don't let it fool you. The service is outstanding, as is the food. You can order a 3 or 4 course price fix menu. The wine list is large, varied, with outstanding vintages from both the US and Europe. My wife had the foie gras (a $20 supplement) and I had the risotto of the day (crumbled sausage, red cabbage, parmesan cheese). Both were outstanding. We both opted for the Duck Confit entree. It was delicious. For dessert, my wife ordered the Raspberry Souffle ($5 supplement) and I had the Chocolate Bread Pudding. They were delicious, and as we left we made reservations to return in January.

Always a pleasure to dine at DB. The service is polished and competent, the food is delicious and beautifully plated. To start, we truly enjoyed the excellent selection of breads presented. Garlicky and savory, the Caesar salad truly pleases the palate. Fried calamari, tender and lightly breaded paired with their special hot and spicy marinara, was a real winner. My filet mignon prepared Pittsburgh style ( cooked perfectly) really hit the spot. The other entree, rack of lamb, did not disappoint. Coffee and homemade DB biscotti for dessert, rounded out an amazing dinner.

Easily my favorite Italian restaurant in the area. Staff is welcoming, ambiance is casual upscale with a nice small bar area as well. Food is well prepared and tastes like traditional Italian. Ravioli specials are soooo tasty, and the pastas taste like they’re homemade. Even the bread is over the top. Highly recommend!
