Best Fine Dining Restaurants in Abington

Absolutely amazing dining experience!!! The grilled octopus is by far the best appetizer, our favorite and only restaurant that has it down to a science! The flavor is outstanding, temperature is always just right! I am a loyal customer and always order the house entree “PESCATORE”…you can never go wrong with a dish named after a restaurant….this dish NEVER disappoints. The crab gravy is beyond delicious, shrimp, clams and mussels are always done just right. We also ordered the salmon special which was over a lobster broccoli risotto, from the very first taste it kept getting even more flavorful….This is a must try. Double espressos (with our BYO Sambuca) and their homemade tiramisu was a perfect ending to an amazing dining experience. Aside from the food, the staff went over & beyond….with the change of ownership/management, you definitely feel a positive change in the climate….Asad is so very personable, welcomes us when he sees us and makes us feel right at home. The female server (Armenian, just forgot her name) has a great personality, goes over and beyond and truly cares about the customers. Evan…what an incredible young man….Truly loves the food industry, kind, personable and very engaging! Thank you so very much, Asad & staff, and the amazing chefs/cooks in the kitchen, we never get to meet you, but truly appreciate your talent and thank you for such an amazing dining experience. Sunday night so not all that busy at the Jarrettown Inn. Staff was great and gave us just the right amount of attention. The daily specials were all great choices and the chosen was done to perfection. Had a great time and definitely would return Only changes I would recommend would be to the appetizers and small plate dishes that would be starters or happy hour offerings. Would love to see offerings that were more in line with comfort food leaning towards maybe an Italian twist to regular American fair. On way home from the office the Jarrettown would be a great place to have a cocktail and nosh on some not so formal offerings while chatting with friends.

We returned to LaStrada a second time because of the deliciously prepared food. As I mentioned in a previous post, it would have been nice if they had heated up the Italian bread when they brought it to the table instead of room temperature bread. Also I did not like the fact that the servers are all constantly trying to clear diners’ plates before everyone has finished their meals. I definitely felt rushed while I was eating my salad and the server wanted to take the plate from the person sitting next to me who had just finished their salad. Same thing happened while I was still eating my dinner. It’s not proper to clear the table when not everyone has finished that course. Other than that complaint, everything was excellent!

Have been to Via 417 a half dozen times and have ordered take out another handful of times. Never disappoints. I usually get the same thing, the Branzino, but decided to order one of the specials this time around. Had the flounder franchise and was just amazing. Food came out hot and quick, cannot wait to go back again.

Had an amazing time at the Wagyu event last night. Met some cool people and had some great service. Food was amazing!! But full disclosure we enjoyed a special menu that is not normally available. However, if the owner and host puts the same amount of heart into his cooking as he put into this event, then I’d guess just about anything would be great there.
