- DDeannaPortland / Oregon •10 reviews4.0Dined todayEverything was great, especially served by Mr. Nicolas and Ms Nitch. The food was good.. I was sitting at the counter and seeing all the action. Then I realized that people who hosting, sitting and hanging coats (it means contacting all peoples) after come back to behind to kitchen area to cut the breads without gloves then serve to people… (it means no washing hands, I did follow up their movements). I was so surprised more like shocked. I couldn’t mention at that moment. I thought it could not or shouldn’t happen if it’s in COVID time…I guess it’s ok now? or let me ask other websites opinions. The drinks were delicious. The place was packed and we all could easily hear each other. This is a must go to place in Portland.More infoJankenPrice: Very Expensive• Creative Japanese• Pearl District•4.7
- EendersonlinePortland / Oregon •35 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe sat at the chef's counter with a great view into the tiny kitchen, which was an experience in itself. No wonder the food is so good because that's one peaceful, harmonious and efficient kitchen. The service stands out at L'Orange for enthusiasm and personal attention. Our server, Erica, was so lovely and that last time I was there I also had an amazing server. We ordered the mushroom broth-based French onion soup, which was my daughter's favorite due to the garlic bread pudding - custardy texture against the crispiness of the cheese - and the intricate, delicious flavors. I had (for the second time) gnocchi which does not fail to delight due to the pillowy texture and layers of sauces and flavors. Dessert must include the orange cake because the flavor of natural orange is strong and pleasant. Again with the textures: burnt sugar crust, moist cake, cardamon icing and orange gelee. So many flavors to mix and match on the fork. We also had the white chocolate mousse with layers of cake and cranberry. So good. We'll be back for the service, the food and the sweet ambiance.More infoL'OrangePrice: Very Expensive• Mediterranean• SE Portland•4.9

- BBelenPortland / Oregon •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoWent here for a romantic evening dinner after a full day of exploring and hiking around Portland. Kind, attentive staff, outstanding views, well curated menu and wine selection. I do wish the portions were slightly larger, especially the dessert. We ordered one to share, and it was quite small; we could have eaten it in one bite. However, the city view is undoubtedly one of the highlights, it completely transports you into a far more intimate city and makes you forget about the bustling around you. Our server Amanda was amazing! She made sure we were well educated on our entree selections, and I have to commend how careful they were about my tree nut allergy, that kind of attention to detail is a rare occurrence. Overall, it was a beautiful evening and I will definitely be returning next time I’m in Portland.More infoBellpine at The Ritz-Carlton PortlandPrice: Very Expensive• American• NW Portland•4.6
