Here, French techniques (think pain perdu for breakfast and cochon de lait for dinner) play on the roots of New Orleans cuisine using fresh, local ingredients. New Orleans is renowned for its French cuisine, and you won’t have to leave the confines of The Eliza Jane to enjoy delicious fare within a French bistro. Couvant specializes in classic French cooking serving entrees that pay homage to French history and regional specialties. Never pretentious, the dishes and service at Couvant are purposefully simple and social. Nestle into an intimate dining room banquette. Or dine at a bistro table in our historic courtyard for chef-driven entrées and a bottle of wine — or maybe two.

This was a spectacular dining experience during which we celebrated our friends' anniversary. The food was amazing, and the service outstanding. We had a reservation and although the restaurant was packed, we were seated promptly upon our arrival.

We dined at The Bower on a Monday night. It was quiet but very enjoyable. The service was great and the food was amazing! We started with Tuna Crudo, Gala Apple & Brussels Sprouts Salad then enjoyed the Cacio e Pepe pasta and Short Rib entree. All were delicious and presented nicely!

I took my husband here prior to the Justin Timberlake concert. The wait staff was very friendly from the hostess to the food runner. The food that our waitress, Monica recommended was delicious. It was impressive to have someone that could explain the food and what was worth trying. We will definitely be back to try out the pasta and wine!

We were getting in to the city late and decided just to eat dinner in our hotel so we wouldn’t have to find anything. Luckily for us, we picked the right hotel! I of course got the sampler of three different traditional NOLA items: red beans and rice; gumbo; and jambalaya. Perfect way to start our vacation. A few days later we just popped down to the bar lounge for a final beer and dessert and pleasant conversation with the bartender.
