Contrary to popular belief, JJ's Restaurant is not named for popular owner Jimmy Frantzé. In 1985, Jimmy purchased JJ Malane's from his former business partner and the saloon's namesake. Malane's went away, but JJ's remained, and a West Plaza fine dining icon was born. Really great night at Cooper’s Hawk celebrating a birthday! We were able to get seated early for our reservation and had wonderful service the entire night. Great wine flights, had the meatball app and the food was wonderful! It’s a yearly tradition and will continue to be. Also got a nice birthday treat!

Perhaps the best Happy Hour I have ever had, definitely in the top three. Our server, Hannah, and the rest of the staff at Ocean Prime KC were amazing. Phenomenal drink specials: Berries and Bubbles is my wife's favorite. I had the Reposoado Paper Plane and several Yuzu Sours. I highly recommend them. The happy hour food specials are amazing, whatever you order. Of particular note, the Smoked Gouda Tater Tots are amazeballs, as is the Hamachi Crudo.

Always such a good time. Great atmosphere, great food and great drinks. My husband recently found out he’s gluten intolerant and they have a lot of gluten free options noted on the menu. Our server was great at answering any questions we had. The “D” Cup cocktail was yummy and definitely would get again. We tried the steak tartare and a couple rolls to start and all were fantastic. Too many good entrees to list that we like but you can’t go wrong with any. This is a restaurant we will continue to visit every year over Christmas when in town!
