Clark and Schwenk, friends over the years, discussed starting a place of their own and traded ideas over what the menu would be like. Finally, at the beginning of 2007, they felt ready to strike out on their own and made that vision happen. “I looked around Atlanta and saw a need for a really good old-school restaurant,” Clark says. That restaurant would become C&S Oyster Bar, specializing in classic New York and Paris brasserie-style cuisine. Our first visit to Hal’s was truly exceptional! Kyle, our waiter, was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and showed great patience as we took our time making decisions. His recommendations were absolutely spot on, and each of our meals was excellent. We appreciated Kyle’s attentiveness and the professionalism of the entire staff. It was clear they worked seamlessly as a team, not just in serving but also in clearing and maintaining the dining area. The attention to detail and level of service made for an outstanding experience. We will definitely be back!

The restaurant is beautiful and the noise level isn’t so loud that you can’t have a decent conversation. Our server David was amazing, as is all the staff. He has an in depth knowledge of wine and helped us find the perfect pairing for the absolutely delicious steaks we enjoyed. I can’t wait to go back.

Amazing experience as always! Had the truffle mushroom ravioli with grilled shrimp and do I dare say that it may have topped my dinner favorite — the scallop risotto?! 🤯 Absolutely loved it! I also appreciated that the dining room was not cold, especially with the temperatures being as frigid as they’ve been lately!
