Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in Lake Forest

The food is fantastic and very reasonably priced. The holiday decor was charming and made for an excellent New Year’s Day dinner.

Scotty’s is a warm, neighborhood restaurant with excellent food, and the service is even better than the food. The atmosphere is upscale casual, friends meeting friends, but you’d be comfortable dining alone, especially at the bar. Prices very reasonable, especially for the quality of fare.

My gawd we ordered so many things from the menu. The buffalo mozzarella, fired calamari, bruschetta special and mussels were outstanding. Entrees were phenomenal and portioned generously. We had to sit at a high top at the bar and waited 20 minutes after our reservation time, but they were so apologetic and kind! I can hardly wait to return!!

This is our second visit to Del Rio and we were so excited to return. This time around, the food was much less impressive. Wait staff was perfect, responsive and friendly. Menu was limited due to special events in the main dining area, which was fine as our preferred order was on the limited menu. Disappointing.

The atmosphere is very pleasant at the Oaken Bistro and Bar. Service was excellent and the food was great. We had the wild mushroom and sausage penne, salmon and chioggia beet salad.
