We are fine-casual dining with a fire at the core of its heart. Through the smoke and whiskey ashes of the previous iteration which closed its doors in 2020 rises a new haze of smoke and whiskey as we bring back this iconic brand, smoked meats, bourbon, beer, deep hues, and various spaces to a new location in the North Loop. Butcher & The Boar will honor its beloved roots, while spreading new ones in the fresh foundation that will help our guests embark on a journey with notes of nostalgia that carry the torch forward with new tastes and experiences. Hazelwood is ALWAYS busy and very popular. Their menu is extensive and up to date. Service is always excellent. The noise level and the need to turn tables quickly is a drawback, though, for more intimate outings.

My partner and I came here to celebrate not-Valentine's Day. We had an incredible experience! The atmosphere was lively, the service superb, the wine excellent, and the food unmatched. The overall value for the price we paid was top notch. Worth every penny. I'm also Italian and I can say will absolute certainly that the wine and food here is authentic and delicious. We ordered several glasses of wine, an app, two entrees and a dessert. Nothing disappointed. I will absolutely be coming back in the future!

My husband and I enjoyed a beautiful meal during Valentine's weekend. Jorge was our waiter and he and the support staff were all so attentive while they were so busy, Jorge was incredibly knowledgeable and explained the cuts of beef to us and went over the menu with great detail. We had their home down shrimp and the pancetta wrapped scallops as appetizers followed by a salad that was a special feature for Valentine's with kale, goat cheese and beats. We shared a porterhouse which was cooked perfectly even though my husband ordered it more well done than I would've liked (med well) it still was flavorful and perfectly cooked we shared the brussel sports and garlic mashed potatoes. We loved the mashed potatoes! The creme brulee to finish our evening with a scoop of home made creme brulee ice cream . We can't wait to come back for another experience!
