Aera is 38 stories and has an amazing view of downtown Toronto . We were at the Chef's counter and had a great views of the CN Tower. The host was great. She showed us two options for seating, where we were reserved and one more option. I had the mac and cheese which was delicious. They put mushroom and onion in it. And we each had a cocktail. I had the Amelia, I think it was called. It was tasty but quite small, that was the only thing. My sister's cocktail was a more reasonable size. The guys beside us had a cheeseburger and it looked so good! The service was great . They server was friendly and service was fairly quick . The restaurant is on the more pricey side and so are the drinks. But if you are looking for a great view of the city it's worth it. I love the casual, comfortable yet sophisticated environment, the perfect lighting, the extra high ceiling and cityscape through the tall windows, and the comfortable choice of seating. I also love the mix of comfy benches, comfy couches, and comfy chairs along with more traditional seating and a beautiful bar in the middle.However the best part was the food and service. The menu is exotic yet approachable, and the staff is wonderful. It's obvious that management is out to create a complete casual dining and lounging experience. This is not just a place we will go back to, it's a place we intend to become regulars at.
