Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in Universal City

It was awesome me and my girlfriend celebrated our anniversary. Our server Ashley was absolutely amazing she kept checking on us and had the best customer service skills I haven’t seen in years. The ambiance was excellent along with the live jazz band.

We have always enjoyed coming to the Front Yard. The menu is unique, in both food and drink, the service is always wonderful, and the food delicious. Our only comment for this meal was that the charcuterie board was pretty sparse for $24. Didn't feel like the value equaled the price, while the other shareables and entrees were closer matched quantity/quality to cost.

Great vibe. Unfortunately service wasn’t great and had mentioned bringing the meal an in courses which didn’t happen. Salmon was undercooked and I had a stomach ache afterwards.

It was everything I would wish for in a nice chill but classy restaurant. It’s sheik yet laid back . It’s what you make it but no matter what food is delicious , drinks are delicious and the service is welcoming. Beautiful people and families everywhere ! Family friendly and date vibes as well .

We started with their Paint and Sip session from 12 to 2 PM, which was an absolute blast. The ambiance was creative and relaxing, and the staff ensured we had everything we needed to unleash our inner artists. It was such a fun and unique way to bond with my mom and Gabby—lots of laughs, a little paint flipping, and beautiful keepsakes to take home! After exploring the lively Universal CityWalk, we came back at 5 PM for dinner, and Five on the Hill absolutely wowed us. The chef’s gift, a stunning Oaxacan-inspired chile relleno with butternut squash purée, crème fraîche, and pomegranate arils, was a masterpiece—rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. My mom adored the Elf’s Pumpkin Pot Pie, a heartwarming dish with tender chicken and flaky puff pastry served in a petite pumpkin—it was pure comfort on a plate. And let’s not forget the lobster tacos—delicate, flavorful, and a perfect way to indulge! From the creative vibes at the Paint and Sip to the unforgettable culinary experience, Five on the Hill made our Universal City adventure truly remarkable. Can’t wait to return! 🌟
