Best Lunch Restaurants in Aylesbury

A delicious lunch experience. Well cooked dishes, food presented piping hot. Charming hosts, who did their best to make our visit enjoyable. A lovely country pub with great ambiance. The only reason max stars not given, was because one guests dish was forgotten and one dish not served as requested.

We have been about 3 times and like coming here . Was a little disappointed this time when ordered chicken tikka masala . Was 3 pieces of meat only . Normally at least 4 pieces . When I mentioned to waitress , the response was it’s normally only 3 . I then corrected waitress and said I’ve had this dish before and looks very minimal this time . To be fair , she went and checked and came back and said yeh normally 3/4 pieces . So outcome nothing . No free drink or service charge taken off as goodwill gesture ?

The food on the Carvery was outstanding. Complements to the Chef and his team. All the front of house staff were also very helpful. This is good value for money.

We really enjoyed the exceptional food and hospitality. Especially the extra care and attention for food allergies.

Enjoyed a very pleasant afternoon at The Holt, afternoon tea was lovely, nice atmosphere and decorated with Christmas tress and a lovely fire. Nice to have warm scones as some places do not do this, and nice sandwiches and cakes. We needed to do a last minute change with the sandwich's from their menu, and the were very obliging to do so.
